O'Neil Joseph Allemand Jr. "Cowboy" lived a remarkable life full of love, joy and compassion. He passed away peacefully on January 6, 2024, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born in Lockport, La. on November 22, 1932, O'Neil was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. He brought immeasurable happiness to his family and friends throughout his lifetime. O'Neil was a man of great integrity and kindness.
A true pillar of strength and wisdom, O'Neil leaves behind his loving family to carry on his legacy.
Sons, Kim Allemand (Roseann) and Kirby Allemand (Susan) who were his pride and joy and whom he taught the importance of kindness, perseverance, and hard work. His grandchildren, Kelby Allemand (Mary), Kimberly Allemand Brooks (Tyler) and Neal Allemand (Brittany). His great grandchildren Richie and Beau Brooks and Ciara Allemand and a great great grandson Eadruf Viel. He is preceeded in death by his wife of 46 years, Dolores Roberts Allemand, Parents, O'Neil J. Allemand Sr. and Leontine Chouest Allemand and his brothers, Chester Allemand, Donald Allemand and George Allemand.
Proud owner of Allemand Industries, Inc. for 43 years with his sons. Was 62 year member of William D. White Masonic Lodge 408 F&AM, 50 year member of the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry 32°, a member of the Royal Arch Masons of La. St. John Chapter 98, a member of the Cryptic Masons of La., St. John Council and a member of Indivisible Friends Commandry #1 Knights Templar.
O'Neil's passing leaves a void in our hearts, but we take solace in knowing that his spirit will live on through the countless lives he touched. As we mourn the loss of O'Neil Joseph Allemand Jr., let us also celebrate his extraordinary life and the profound impact he had on each of us. May his memory bring us comfort as we carry his legacy forward with love, compassion, and kindness toward others.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation for O'Neil Joseph Allemand Jr. on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, in Harvey, LA. from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral mass will begin immediately following the visitation at 11:00AM. Interment will take place at Westlawn Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Ave., in Gretna, LA.
