Odette Kiff Menard, age 91, was called home to her eternal resting place on January 8, 2026. She passed away surrounded by the love of her family and caregivers. Odette was born on December 29, 1934, in LaRose, LA, to the late Nelson Kiff and the late Odile Ledet Kiff. She was a long-time resident of Grand Isle, LA. She was currently living in Marrero, LA.
She was married to the late Joseph Menard for over 64 years. She was preceded in death by her first husband Dannie Powell, son Kerry Powell, daughter Gaye Townsend and her silbings Horace Kiff Sr. (Bernice), Nelson Kiff (Shirley), Irene Kiff Lerille (Albert), Morris Kiff (Doris), Clara Kiff Pillow (Dave)(Camille), Dolores Kiff Pickett (Bill), Anthony Kieff (June), John Kieff (Gloria), Camille Kiff (Bonnie) and Lula Mae Kiff.
She is survived by her son Dannie John (Duck) Powell, granddaughter Kelly Powell St. Rome (Chris), great grandson Michael Talamo, grandson Dannie Nini, great grandchildren Eva and Egypt Nini, grandson Travis Trosclair (Christina Carmadell) and great grandson Sebastian Trosclair, her son Wayne David Powell Sr. (Barbara), granddaughter Amanda Powell, great granddaughter Hailey Demers, grandson Wayne Powell Jr. (Kasey), great granddaughter Taylor Collongues and great grandson Sebastian Powell, grandson Lee Townsend (Brittany), great grandsons Mason and Maddox Townsend, son David Menard (Teresa), grand daughter Britney Farell, great grand daughter Lashea Wilson (Beautiful) and Brealynne Farell, grandson Randy Menard, granddaughters Allyssa Menard, goddaughter Odele LaBove (Jan).
Odette was an avid gardener. She also enjoyed crochet, often making items such as socks, hats, and blankets for friends and family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway in Harvey, LA, on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 12:00 – 1:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Mothe Funeral Home at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery, Westwego, LA. May her beautiful soul rest in eternal peace.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
