Nichol Adam Verdin entered into eternal rest on March 13, 2023. Beloved husband of 66 years to the late Myrtle Breaux Verdin. Father of Beverly Cheramie, Nichol Verdin, Jr., Jeanann V. Frederick (Randy), and James “Jimmy” Verdin, Sr. (Laura). Grandpaw of Joshua (Kaley), Dana (Chris), James Jr. (TIffaney), Chris, Lacey, Desiree (Ryan), Bridgett (Chris), Crystal (Jacob), Ashley (Wendell Jr.), Parris, Austin, Alissa, and Destiny. Great-grandpaw of Derek Jr., Dallas (Bryce), Dakota (Tre'), Tannar, Jack, Alexah, Skylar, Jayda, Mariana, Damiana, Damien, Isaiah, Ashton, Kaleb, Troy, Tory, Cole, Kristian, Alyssa, Autumn, Jakob, Christopher, Paislee, Cade, Alex, Gabrielle, Savannah, Julian, Curtis, and Laura. Great-great-grandpaw of Jhase, Declan, Peyton, Nylah, Harlam, Mason, Kobi, Kaiden, Jazmine, Makayla, Khloe, and Kali.
Son of the late Antoine Verdin and Marie Calistro Verdin Levron. Brother of Marie Verdin Bond Talamo (late Tony), and the late Fedless Verdin, Wilfred Verdin, Lillian Duffourc, David Verdin, Louis Verdin, Laura Garribot, John Verdin, and Allen Levron. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Age 93 years, a native of Cutoff, LA and resident of Bridge City, LA. Nichol was a Veteran of the United States Army and worked until retirement as a boat captain. He was a member of the Men’s Club of Holy Guardian Angels and the Knights of Columbus in Westwego. He was also the 2000 Gumbo Festival King. He will be deeply missed by all.
