Nathan Joseph Rogers

Nathan Joseph Rogers entered eternal rest on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the age of 87. He was the beloved husband of the late Peggy Rogers, with whom he shared 44 wonderful years. Son of the late Yolanda Sciannoeaux and the late Joseph Emile Rogers. A loving and devoted father, he leaves behind Genice Rivet (Brian) and Chad Rogers (Pamela), who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. He was a proud and adoring Grandfather of Shane Rogers, Sr. (Samantha), Brittany Rivet (Matt), Jace Rivet (Brittany), Chad Rogers, Jr. (Christina), the late Brooke Rogers, Derek Rivet (Shailynn), and Angie Marburger (Jimmy). His legacy continues through his many great-grandchildren: Shane, Jr., Shawn, Riley (Tristan), Jayden, Stormi, Bently, Gabriel, Ronni-Lynn, Damian, Laiken, Hunter, Nathan, Jaxon, Jameson, Emersyn, Remi, Cheyenne, Bella, and Quinton. He was the brother of Michael Rogers, Donna Rogers Dempster (Crown), and the late Rosaria Rogers Cottier, the late Roy Rogers (the late Allyn), the late Lynn Rogers, and the late Joseph Rogers, Jr. (Shirley). Nathan is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was born in Algiers, Louisiana, and was a resident of Lafitte, Louisiana. He was a lifelong commercial fisherman whose favorite pastimes were betting his luck at the Craps Tables and playing Blackjack, fishing off the dock, and picking blackberries. Yet, above all, his greatest happiness came from spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, Louisiana, on Monday, April 20, 2026, beginning at 10AM until 1PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home at 1PM. Interment will be held at St. Pius X Mausoleum, Crown Point, Louisiana.
