Nancy Remfry Stubbs

Nancy Remfry Stubbs entered into eternal rest on May 14, 2025 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of 56 years to the late James E. Stubbs. Mother of Lynn (Randall), Stacey (Robert Jr), Allison (Tommy), Scott and the late Mary Kimberly and Lisa Ann Stubbs. Grandmother of Amanda (Sarah), Lindsey (Joel), Stephanie (Chris), Christina, Robert III (Carrie), Jason (Crystal), Jessica (Jordan), Colby (Sheila), Kelsey (Larry), Sebestyen (Maribell), Jace, Vance and Emma. Great-grand-mother of 18. Daughter of the late Theodore Remfry and Lois Carraway Remfry. Nancy is a native of Jackson, MS and resided in Gretna, LA for the past 58 years. Nancy attended the University of Southern Mississippi and along with her husband founded Kidcam Summer Day Camp Programs in 1974. Nancy was a force of nature; sassy, spunky and full of energy. All of Nancy’s grandchildren loved to visit her and share good times and make lasting memories. Nancy was a passionate tennis player and played with various clubs in Jefferson and Orleans Parish. Nancy loved to play Bridge and played with many of her good friends weekly. Nancy was a member of Krewe de la Rouge Red Hat Club and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Nancy was an avid reader, loved to cook and cheered for the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers. Nancy loved her cat, Skeets and her 6 Boxers. Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Friday, June 13, 2025 from 9am to 10:30am. A Memorial Funeral Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel at 10:30am. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
