Miriam "Mim" Robichaux Brunet

BRUNET, Miriam (Mim) Robichaux Brunet, born on July 26, 1924, to Estelle Dubois Robichaux and Alcide Robichaux in Donner, LA. A lifetime resident of Algiers, LA, was called home by our Lord on January 24, 2025, at the age of 100. Devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Wife of the late Octave Peter Brunet, Sr., Mother of Barbara Brunet Corona (Louis), and Octave P. Brunet, Jr. (Vickie Jacks), Granny to Melissa Corona Gisi (John), Don Michael Corona (Barrett Schradel), and Nicolas Octave Corona (Natalie Broadus). Big Granny to Tessa Gisi Bright and Jacob Gisi, Clark Corona, and Cade Corona.

Also survived by sister-in-law Jacquelyn Brias Robichaux. Preceded in death by her parents Estelle Dubois Robichaux and Alcide Peter Robichaux, five brothers – Earl, Alcide, Charles, Roy and Daniel, and one sister Beatrice (Tat) Lemoine. Mim graduated from Behrman High School in 1942. 

She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Miriam was a parishioner of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal #2165 and the Rosary Group. She also had membership in American Legion Auxiliary Post 218.

The family wishes to thank everyone who has been helpful to her. Relatives and friends of the family as well as members of CDA #2165, America Legion Auxiliary Post 218 are invited to attend services.

Funeral Mass will be held at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church on Monday, February 3, 2025 in Dawsonville, GA. at 11AM (EST)

Graveside services will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Algiers, LA, on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 10AM.
