Michael "Mike" P. Simoneaux

Michael "Mike" P. Simoneaux passed away on July 8, 2025, at the age of 69, in Marrero, Louisiana. Born in New Orleans, Mike lived a life marked by curiosity, craftsmanship, and deep devotion to his family. Mike was the beloved son of Arthur Jr. and Melva Simoneaux. He grew up alongside his siblings Elaine, Arthur III (Brenda), Richard (Bebe), and Julie, forming bonds that remained strong throughout his life. He shared a devoted marriage with his wife of 51 years, Molly Simoneaux. Together they raised three sons: Tommy (Michelle), Gerritt (Nicole), and Jeffrey (Amber). Mike took great pride in being a father and was known as a great dad and teacher of all things; always ready to share knowledge or lend a helping hand. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Matthew, Kirsten, Trey (Chloe), Kelsi (Alec), Evan, Makayla, Jude, Hendrix, Henley, and Lennon. He also leaves behind one great-grandchild, Bryson Bourgeois. His presence will be deeply missed across generations of his family. Mike had a passion for woodworking and carpentry skills he honed with care and precision. Whether building something with his hands or exploring new ideas through research and analysis, he approached every task with thoughtfulness and dedication. Music was another joy in his life, providing both inspiration and comfort.
