Michael Douglas Ditta, 51, lifelong resident of Gretna, LA passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 12:30am at his residence in Marrero, LA. Husband of the late Mickey Michelle Cooper. Father of 3 children, Michael Cooper, Sr., Christine Cooper, and Christopher Cooper. Michael was born on May 26, 1966 of the late Celeste and Douglas Ditta. Brother of Keefe Ditta. Uncle of Kacie, Josh, and the late Ryan Ditta. Grandfather of 4 grandchildren, Elysia Cooper, Michael Cooper Jr., and Philip Gelpi, III and Niyla Cunningham. Michael was the life of the crowd always was an outspoken person and treated people with the utmost respect. Most of all he loved his family and the work he did. He was a strong man all the way to the final seconds of his life. He lived every minute of his life and he will be truly missed. A lot will be missed without him but he left with closure and that's a beautiful thing.
