Michael Christopher Brown, 55 of Marrero, LA passed away peacefully in his home Wednesday, October 12, 2022. Michael was a lifelong resident of Marrero, LA. He was born to Rudy P. Brown, Sr. and Fay Barras Brown on July 31 1967. Michael was preceded in death by his father Rudy P. Brown, Sr. Michael is survived by his mother, Fay Barras Brown. Michael leaves behind three children Alexander (24), Dylan (24) and Joshua (10). He is lovingly remembered by his two brothers, David Brown (Kelly) and Rudy P. Brown, Jr., two godchildren Dustin Brown (Sarah) and Conor Brown (Blake, Maverick (6), Luca (5) and one nephew Keaghan Brown. He also leaves behind many loving family members and a host of loyal friends. Michael was a graduate of De La Salle High School (New Orleans) class of 1986. He was a very proud member of the United States Marine Corps service years 1991 -1995. During that time, he received the rank of Corporal and served in the Gulf War and Somalia. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of New Orleans in 2011. At the time of his passing, he was employed by Allied Universal Service as a Regional Manager. In his spare time, Michael was happiest watching his son Joshua excel on the baseball field. He enjoyed pastimes such as hunting, fishing and watching his favorite teams play. He was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints, LSU Fighting Tigers and Chicago Cubs. Michael was a very proud father and always taught his children to strive for excellence in all aspects of life. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Boulevard Marrero, LA 70072. Viewing will begin at 9:00 am (family) 10:00 am (public), a Catholic Mass will follow at 1:30 pm. Eternal entombment will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Ave. Terrytown, LA 70056. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Michael’s name to his favorite charity, The Wounded Warrior Project.
