Mattie Louise Ordoyne Schouest entered into eternal rest on May 22, 2023. Beloved mother of Marian Schouest, Hebert J. Schouest, Jr., Georgette Shahien (AbdulFatah), and the late Eric Schouest. Daughter of the late Euselia Borne and Joseph Ordoyne. Sister of the late Lillian Guidry, Pansy Roundtree, Aida Mae Cantrelle, Patrick Ordoyne and Joseph Ordoyne, Jr. Grandmother of Amir Shahien (Jessica), Ines Shahien Maxwell (Josh), and Isma Shahien. Great grandmother of Alden, Ainsley, Ellis and Emmett Shahien, Rowan and Josette Maxwell, and Simone Shahien. Former wife of the late Herbert J. Schouest, Sr. Age 95 years, a native of Ponchatoula, and resident of Marrero, LA.

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Sunday, May 28, 2023 from 5 PM until 7 PM. Visitation will resume Monday, May 29, 2023 from 9 AM until Funeral Service time at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
