Mathilda Boone Miller

Mathilda Boone Miller entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the age of 81. Mathilda is survived by her son, August Christian Miller, Jr. (Tonya Miller); her Grandsons, August Christian Miller, III and Timothy John Miller (Robin Miller); her Great Granddaughters, Maylyn Miller, Aubriella Miller and Ivy Miller; and her sister, Charlene B. Savoie. Mathilda is also remembered by many cherished nieces, nephews and other dear family members who will forever hold their memories close to their hearts.

Mathilda is preceded in death by her husband, August Christian Miller, Sr.; her son, Charles George Miller; her parents, Julia Irene Boone and Charles Frank Boone and her brother, Alphonse D. Decereaux, Jr. 

Mathilda was a resident of Pearl River, Louisiana. She lived for her family and found her greatest happiness in being a doting great-grandmother. 

Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Thursday, October 22, 2026, beginning at 9:30AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will take place at the funeral home on Thursday at 11AM. Immediately following the Funeral Mass, interment will be held at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, Louisiana.
