Mary Hawkins Ulmer

Mary Hawkins Ulmer peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Llewellyn Bowen by first marriage and the late Melvin U. Ulmer, Jr. by second marriage. Daughter of the late Hugh Hawkins and Bessie Gilcrease Hawkins. Beloved mother of Llewellyn Bowen, Jr. (Bobie Jean), Alan Bowen (Lori), Sharon B. Buchert and Pattie B. Jarrell (Eric). Sister of the late Forrest H. Hawkins. Mary is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was born in Winfield, Kansas and was a resident of Gretna, LA. Mary was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Algiers. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 1:30PM until 2:30PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 2:30PM. Interment will be in Old Biloxi Mississippi Cemetery, Biloxi, Mississippi.
