Mary Lucille Cayard Clayton

Mary Lucille Cayard Clayton of Algiers, passed away peacefully on her birthday Monday, September 26, 2022 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Ray P. Clayton. Mother of Neal E. Clayton (Susan), Paul D. Clayton (Julie) and James P. Clayton (Susan Blomquist). Daughter of the late Grace Fuqua Cayard and Edgar E. Cayard. Sister of the late Donald E. Cayard (late Dorothy). Grandmother of Ben Clayton (Mandy), Chris Clayton, Margaret Clayton, Amanda Clayton, and Heather Clayton. Great Grandmother of Olivia and Avery Clayton. Lucille was an avid golfer, and a former State Senior Champion. She was a member of Algiers United Methodist Church, participating in the choir and church functions well into her eighties.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Mothe Funeral Homes, LLC, 1300 Vallette Street, Algiers, LA on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 11:00 am. Parlors will be open from 9:30 am until funeral time. Burial will take place at Metairie Cemetery.
