Mrs. Mary Margaret Brechtel

Mary Conaway Brechtel passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016 at the age of 96 years. Beloved wife of the late Peter P. Brechtel, Sr. Mother of Peter P. Brechtel, Jr. (Susan), Connie Brechtel Goings (Bennie), and the late Ronald C. Brechtel (Eve) and Carolyn Brechtel Beauregard (Warren). Daughter of the late Viola Lacour Conaway and Theodore Conaway Sr. Sister of the late Theodore Conaway Jr. (Margaret), and Harold Conaway (Ruby). Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Mary, along with her late husband Pete, were the Owners and Operators of Pelican Grocery in Algiers. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 1300 Vallette Street, Algiers, LA on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 9am until 11am.
