Mary Ann Ortalano Sanchez

Mary Ann went to be with her departed husband Ernesto Sr. on December 2, 2023. She was born July 18, 1938. She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Florence Ortalano her son Paul A. Sanchez, a sister Paulette Ortalano. She is survived by her children Ernesto A. Sanchez, Jr (Laurie), Robert J. Sanchez (Estrange), Paula A. Sanchez. She is also survived by 5 Grand Children Kelly Dufrene (Matthew), Amy LaMark (Lynell), Ryan Sanchez (Mary Frances), Brittany Sanchez (Henry) and Madison Sanchez. She also has 7 Great Grand Children Lexi, Addison, Sadie Dufrene, A’mani LaMark, Sophia, Ryan Sanchez, Jr., and Henry Gill III. She is also survived by brothers Gaetano “Joe” Ortalano (Marilyn), Glossen “Butch” Ortalano (Trish) and sister Conchetta Thibodeaux (Irvin). Mary Ann was a housewife and a Loving Mother to her children. The family would like to Thank Mrs. Martha Becnel her long-time friend, shopping, and lunch partner. Also, Micheal Foret who grew up with us and would call to check on her and make her fudge for the holidays. Mary Ann was born and raised in Algiers and was a parishioner of Holy Name of Mary Church.

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 9 AM until Memorial Service time at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
