Martha Russell Connevey

Martha Russell Connevey, fondly remembered by loved ones as "Tuffey", peacefully passed away at her home on Monday, March, 28, 2011. Martha was the beloved wife of Wilburn B. Connevey, Mother of Elizabeth C. Joffre and Linda C. Lazar, Mother-in-law of Stephen G. Lazar, Daughter of the late Richard and Julia Russell, Sister of Marjorie R. Raider and Janet R. Abadie, Grandmother of Jason A. Joffre, Laine A. Lazar, Stephanie C. Lazar and Stephen C. Lazar. She is also survived and loved by several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Martha was born in Massena, NY but grew up in Houma, LA. Martha and Wilburn have been residents of Algiers, New Orleans for over 50 years. She was 77.The presence of friends and relatives is requested at Holy Name of Mary church (400 Verret Street) on Saturday, April 2, 2011 by 11AM. Visitation at church will begin at 9:30 AM. The Catholic Service will be followed by burial service at St. Patrick's Cemetery #1(143 City Park Avenue).
