Marlene Lindemann Hernandez entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at the age of 77 years. Beloved wife of 54 years to Earl P. Hernandez, Sr. Mother of Susan Hernandez, Earl Hernandez Jr. (Dana) and Darren Hernandez (Connie). Loving grandmother of D.J. and Blythe. Daughter of the late Emelda Constant Lindemann and Victor Lindemann. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Marlene was born on August 11, 1939 in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of Marrero, LA. She worked as a school bus driver (#306) for the Jefferson Parish School System. Marlene was a counselor for the St. Rosalie CYO for many years. She loved to cook any type of seafood and was known for her potato salad. When she wasn’t cooking in her kitchen, she loved to travel to the Gulf Coast with her beloved Earl for dinner at one of the casinos. Her heart was always surrounded by children; her own, her school children and especially her grandchildren. She touched the lives of so many during her life and will be sadly missed.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 9 AM to 11AM. A Funeral Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux, LA.
