Marilyn Cecile Munsterman

November 4, 1932 — December 28, 2023

Algiers, LA

Marilyn Munsterman, age 91, passed away December 28, 2023, at her home surrounded by those who loved her, after a long, full life. 

She was a lifelong resident of the West Bank.  

After meeting and marrying her beloved late husband, of 55 years, George Munsterman, she became a homemaker.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. She instilled many fond memories and family traditions, and she taught the values of life, love, and kindness through example. She was blessed to have maintained lifelong friendships that were very special to her, up until her passing. 

She was an accomplished artist, and was a member of the West Bank Art Guild.  She displayed her art regularly at Art Shows, Restaurants and Shopping Malls. Her other hobbies were gardening, garage sales, and collecting different and unusual things.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Julia Vicknair, her sister Shirley Becnel (late Joe), brother-in-law Lee Shelton. Also her nephews, CJ and Richard Becnel, and niece, Jackie Shelton. 

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Joan Hill (Clyde)her children, Robert and Edward Hill, and Leslie Allen (Orin), and her sons, Robert and Kenneth Munsterman.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Naomi Davis (Aaron), their sons, Thor Johnston (Addie), Klein Davis, and Bryce Davis. She is also survived by son-in-law, Clyde Hill and daughter, Linda Hill, daughter-in-law, Shelly Munsterman, and Robert’s daughter Cheri Munsterman, daughter-in-law, Rhonda Munsterman, and Kenneth‘s sons Michael and Geoffrey Munsterman. Marilyn is survived by Great Grandchildren Robert Hill Jr, Dustin Hill, Lorin Allen, Shaylynn, Kaz Webber, Calib Vidrine, Ava Munsterman, Kenny Munsterman, Taylor Johnston, Riley Johnston, and Dalila Davis. 

Marilyn is also survive by a sister Deloris Shelton and nieces Denair Shelton Melson, and JoAnn Becnel Gravolet. 

As per Marilyn‘s wishes the funeral will be a private ceremony with only close family members.
