Maria Isabel Rodriguez

Maria Isabel Rodriguez passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 24th, 2026, at the age of 104. She was born in Usulutan, El Salvador, on November 18th, 1921.

She is the mother of Gloria Montalvo (SPOUSE); the grandmother of Marina Montalvo and Omar Montalvo, and great-grandmother of GREAT GRANDS NAMES. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.

( MARINA AND OMAR- THIS WOULD BE A GOOD PLACE TO WRITE WHEN SHE CAME TO THE UNITED STATES, THE THINGS SHE ACCOMPLISHED, ETC) A native of Usulutan, El Salvador, and proud resident of New Orleans for over 20 years, Maria was loving, compassionate, and most of all, a very caring person to all. She enjoyed spending her time making homemade food. However, her true passion was spending time with her loving family and friends. Maria was unique and irreplaceable, well respected and liked, and will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She took great care of their grandsons and raised them. 

During the last 15 years, when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, both Marina and Omar took care of her. Her spirit and tender nature will remain in the many memories of her cherished friends and family until they meet her again.
