Maria Orfidia Izaguirre Brown

Maria Orfidia Izaguirre Brown passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the age of 86. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Juan Guillermo Brown; her son, Edward Brown; parents, Maria Luisa Cruz and Jose Zacarias Izaguirre ; her siblings, Zoila Arias Ortego, Alma Izaguirre, Jose Enrique Izaguirre, Oscar Izaguirre, Hector Izaguirre and David Izaguirre. She is devoted mother of John Brown , Maria Bowen (Ken), Marta Brown. She is mother-in-law of Helen Brown. She is loving grandmother of Damian Brown, Deborah B. Morton (Christopher), Esther B. Graff (Paul), Abigail B. Mastroianni (David), Shea B. Cooper, Ashley B. Artus (Ricky), Kenneth Bowen, Damiex Bowen (Kimberly) and Patrick Fortier. She is great- grandmother of many great- grandchildren. She is sister of Isabel Izaguirre Ricks and Jose Zacarias Izaguirre (Amanda). She is half- sister of Bernard Izaguirre, Elba Garcia Danensfelder and Sara Luz Garcia Geivelis. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Maria was passionate about her family and the time she was able to spend with them. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A special thank you to the caring staff of Our Lady of Wisdom in New Orleans and Concerned Care Hospice. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 9:00AM until 11:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA. Interment Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Avondale. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Our Lady of Wisdom Health Care.
