Marcella Dorothy “Marcie” Lorenzo peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 19, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Frank E. Lorenzo, Sr. Daughter of the late Talmadge Shumate and Rita Cortez Shumate. Loving mother of Frank E. Lorenzo, Jr. (Sharrel), Bryan Lorenzo (Jan), Deborah L. Delger (Larry), Denise L. Stoker (Phil) and Alyson L. Mayet (John). Sister of the late Ruby Faye Poppel (J.D.) and Marion Raterman (Ray). Marcie is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was born in New Orleans, LA and was a lifelong resident of Gretna, LA. The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to the Staff of St. Catherine’s Hospice, Heritage Manor of Mandeville, especially Jody DePriest, Special Care Unit, CNA and Nursing Staff for their care given. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 10AM until 1PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 1PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
