Manuel Rodriguez passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the age of 86, surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Hilda Billiot Rodriguez; son, Daniel Rodriguez; 2 great grandchildren; father, Oliver Rodriguez Sr; mother, Stella Falgout; siblings, Bertha Guillot, Stella Boudreaux, Oliver Rodriguez Jr ( Idellee). Manuel is the loving husband of Mary Rodriguez. He is the devoted father of Hilda Marie Matherne ( Rickey Sr), Manuel Rodriguez Jr, Julie Plaisance (Robert Sr), Oliver Rodriguez (Cindy), Troy Rodriguez, Christine LeFlaur (Glenn), Lisa Ward (Lester Sr), Tina Nickelson, Tommy Nickelson (Stacey). He is loving grandfather of 24 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He is brother of Mercy Knight, Elsie Punch (Gerald Sr), Darlene Pendergraft (Ken), Gary Rodriguez (Gail), Jerry Rodriguez (Sharon), Keith Rodriguez (Melinda), Cathy Borne (Tookie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. An avid outdoorsman, Manuel will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Visitation on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA. A Funeral Mass will follow Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in Westwego, LA.
