Mable Josephine Rousselle

Mable LeBouef Rousselle, beloved wife of 58 years to the late Capt. Birney Armand Rousselle, Jr. passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 8, 2017 while residing at Forest Manor Nursing Home. She was 93 years old and a native of Algiers and a resident of the Northshore for the past 44 years. After moving to Covington, she became a member of the Northlake New Comers and Piecemakers Quilting Group for many years. She is survived by her 3 children, Sylvia Lazaro (Billy), Deborah Loyacano (Wayne) and Birney Rousselle, III (Rose). Also survived by her sister and best friend, Mildred Bernard along with a host of nieces and nephews. Grandmother of Wayne Loyacano (Marie), Melissa K. Richardson (David), Birney “Buzz” Rousselle (Nicé), Maggie Rousselle and the late Belinda Lazaro and 7 Great Grandchildren. Mamere to Matthew and Addison Kiger, Jenna and Megan Loyacano. Great Granny to Alex, Andrew and Amelia Rousselle. Daughter of the late Shelby and Bertha Trahan LeBouef. The family would like to thank The Windsor Senior Living Community Staff and residents for their loving care and friendships, even though it was for a short time it provided the means for her to enjoy her life to the fullest and make new friends. Also special thanks to Forest Manor Nursing Staff and St. Tammany Parish Hospice for their compassionate care and love. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 10AM until 12 Noon. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 12 Noon. Interment will be held in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
