Lynn Kangas Menge

Lynn Kangas Menge, of Waggaman, LA, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the age of 60 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joyce Blood Kangas and Jack E. Kangas of Rose City, MI; sister, Kathy Jo Mellon of Otisville, MI and nephew Jerod Mellon of Otisville, MI. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Bernard E, Menge; daughter Amy J. Menge and brother John Kangas of Wasilla, AK. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Coralie Menge Oufnac and Susan Kangas; brother-in-law Jerry Mellon, nieces Sarah O. Shano and Jennifer J. Corlew; nephews Kevin Kangas and Kenny Kangas; numerous cousins and great nieces and nephews. She was born in Lupton, MI and moved to New Orleans at the age of 17 where she met her husband. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister and aunt who will be forever remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice and West Jeff Cancer Center for all of their efforts.
