Lynn James Bourgeois Sr.

Lynn James Bourgeois, Sr., entered into eternal rest surrounded by family on August 4, 2026 at the age of 79.

Lynn was born on July 25, 1947, in Metairie, Louisiana, to Murphy Bourgeois, Sr. and Florence Hazard Bourgeois.

He was a retired veteran with 41 years of service in the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Air Force Reserves, and Civil Service with the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army. He worked as both a mechanic and safety inspector on aircraft, landing craft, other small craft and military vehicles. He loved playing golf, dancing to the oldies, riding his Harley, or cruising in his Corvette. Most of all, he loved being "Pretty Pawpaw."

He is preceded in death by his parents, Murphy and Florence Bourgeois, Sr.; siblings, Murphy Bourgeois, Jr. (Patricia), and Jeanne Bourgeois Clapp (Allan, Sr.); his wife of 32 years, Debra Tolar Bourgeois, and former spouse of 10 years, Sharon Gibson Bourgeois.

He is survived by his children, Teresa Wilcox (Kevin, Sr.), Pamela Misora (Walter, Sr.), and Lynn Bourgeois, Jr.; Grandchildren, Kevin, Jr (Christy), Kenny (April), Kelly, Tory (Kennan), Becca (Hans), Mandi (Joe), Emily (Sudarshan), Abby (Ryan). As well as nineteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. His former wife of 6 years, Joanne Daigle Bourgeois; and girlfriend, Karen Boudreaux. His sister, Deborah Bourgeois Moran (Joseph); As well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Thursday, August 13th from 5pm - 8pm. Visitation will resume on Friday August, 14th from 9am - 11am. A Catholic service of the Word will be held at 11am. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, Louisiana.
