Luis Andres Macias passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Tanya Boudet Macias for over 56 years. Father of Mabel Macias Vincent (the late Christopher) and Mayda Macias Ferguson. Son of the late Carmen Yern Macias and Luis Macias. Brother of Roberto, Caridad, and Lazaro Macias. Grandfather of Andrew Luis and Daniel Richard Vincent, and Madison Maria and Michael Ingram Ferguson. Uncle of Hilemi Maria Frases, Rolando Frases, Marta Valdes Yanes, Maydel Morin Schexnaider, Marlene Campos Cannon, Ricardo Campos, Adnaloy Macias, Dianelis Juarez, Lisett Macias and Alain Macias. He was a Marine Service Engineer at American Diesel Worldwide Ship Repair for about 40 years. He was an active member of the Cuban Club of New Orleans and the Spanish Club of New Orleans. He enjoyed dancing, listening to music, doing Sudoku puzzles, reading historical accounts as well as epic action adventure, and fixing anything he could get his hands on. He was a world traveler both for work and for pleasure. He loved going to the beach and cruising. Most of all he loved spending time with family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 1pm.
