Lorenda Mary Sidora Lawrence passed away peacefully from Alzheimer's at the age of 86 on December 17, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born November 4, 1939 in Cottonport, La to the late Cyprian & Louella Sidora and was a lifelong resident of Algiers and Belle Chasse. She was a retired insurance agent.

She was predeceased by her parents & one sister, Brenda Audibert. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Conrad Lawrence. Devoted mother of Connie Standige (Frank), Andrea Brown (Chris), Steven Lawrence (Debbie), and John Lawrence (Sylvia). Loving Grandmother of Betsy Lefils (Kyle), Bradley Standige (Monica), Stephanie Lawrence (Josh Lindsey), Matthew Standige (Sarah), Ryne Sullivan (Marissa), Erin Heitmeier (Kurt), Stacey Ledet (Joseph), and John Lawrence, Jr (Nicole). Adoring Great Grandmother of Kaden Moody, Mason & Molly Lefils, Layken, Logan, & Landon Ledet, Oliver & Amelia Standige, and Javier Lawrence. Survived by her siblings, Lurline Drury (Ernest, deceased), Patsy Falcon (Henry), Greg Sidora (Mindy), Gerard Sidora, Gaynell Roberts (Dave), Rhonda Bridges (Gus), Perry Sidora (Dawn), Mark Sidora (Bonnie), numerous nieces & nephews, and our extended families, Albert (deceased) & Marilyn Alonzo & descendants, and Freddie (deceased) & Nancy “Jane” Gondrella and their descendants.

She was a graduate of Martin Behrman High School class of 1957. She was a long time member of The American Legion Auxiliary Algiers Unit 218. She served as State President 2002-2003 & held many other offices on the national, state, district, and unit levels. She was also a member of the Lake Hermitage Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxiliary, the Myrtle Grove Marina Estates HOA, the Ancillary Board La. Dept of Veterans Affairs Reserve War Veterans Home, and a volunteer & coach for Vernon Clasen Youth Athletic Association and Bodenger Playground. She was affectionately known as “Aunt Ren”. She & her husband loved the bayous, lakes, & bays of Plaquemines Parish, cooking & eating its bounty with family & friends. She loved traveling, especially cruising and dancing. She was blessed with many wonderful relatives & friends.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Sunrise Living facility in Metairie, especially the third floor memory unit for the loving care given to her during her stay. We also wish to thank Passages Hospice, especially hospice nurses Naomi, Lynell, and Jennifer for making her passage from life as comfortable as possible.

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Parlor of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Monday, December 22, 2025 at 11 AM. Interment Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Belle Chasse, LA. Visitation will be held Monday from 9 AM until 11 AM.
