Lonnine Adamietz

May 10, 1939 — October 6, 2022

On Wednesday, October 6, 2022 Lonnine Adamietz of Luling passed away peacefully at the age of 83, with her loving family by her side. Knowing she is in God's hands and at the side of her husband, George Adamietz who passed away four years ago, gives us great peace. On May 10, 1939 in Houma Louisiana, she was born to Irene and Lonnie P. Jorden. Lonnine was a graduate of the class of 1957 at Hahnville High school. Soon after, while out with friends at a local dance she met the love of her life, George Adamietz. Their love for dancing continued throughout their sixty wonderful years of marriage.
Lonnine spent her career as a secretary and retired from Entergy Louisiana. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Luling. She enjoyed many hobbies which included; traveling with her husband to the casinos, cooking and gathering with family and friends, seafood boils at their party house, and on a rainy day, a great mystery book on her front porch swing. Lonnine loved life and will be greatly missed. Lonnine was preceded in death by her loving husband George Adamietz, daughter Telli Jo Adamietz, brother Perry Lynn Jorden. She is survived by her son David Adamietz, sister Brenda (Herb) LeRay, granddaughters Tavie (Willie Todd) Kekko and Jorden (Alan) Mathis, great grandchildren Eli Kekko, Jackson Mathis, and Mason Mathis.
Relatives and friends are invited for the burial at Saint Charles Cemetery and Mausoleum on Friday, October 14, 2022 at approximately 3:00pm.
