Linda Lyons Austin

Linda Lyons Austin, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, on January 1, 2025 at the age of 76 years. Beloved wife of the late William L. Austin, Sr. Loving mother of Lorraine Ledet (Jody), William Austin, II (Gina), and Stephen Austin. Grandmother of Meghan (Matt), Stephanie (Devon), Marissa (Roberto), Jaysa (Brennan), Stephen, Jr., and Olivia. Great-grandmother of Mya, Riley, Alice, Freya, Gino, Everly, Casper, Ophelia, and Enzo. Also survived by one sister, Lorraine Van Wormer, along with other loving relatives and friends.

Linda’s existence revolved around her loving family. Spending time together and sharing stories, was her heart and soul. Her unconditional love and devotion to her family was the hallmark of her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and friend. Her legacy was family, bonded through unconditional love and acceptance. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her. Rest in peace, sweet lady. You were the center of our world, and your love will live on in us forever.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 9 AM to 11 AM. A Memorial Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel.
