It is with a heavy heart and great sadness to share that Leroy J Palmisano has entered into eternal rest on January 27, 2024, at the age of 84 in Marrero, La. Born on February 7, 1939 in Gretna, La. Leroy was the beloved husband of Georgeann Palmisano for 67 years. Devoted father of Sally Duval (Steve), Randy Palmisano, Wanda Bourgeois, Clayton Palmisano (Ronda), Lori Hammell (Patrick). Son of the late Joseph (Buck) and Lillian Kerner Palmisano. Brother of the late Barbara Ann Kirkpatrick, Joel and Wayne Palmisano, Clayton, Gilbert, Ray, Charles Hopel and Charlene Doucet. Loving grandfather of 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

He was a retired commercial fisherman. He loved to spend time on his boat with his wife, weekend trips to the casino, cruises and eating out with family. He also loved spending time with his fur babies Princess, Sassy, Oreo, Tiger, and the late Missy. He will be remembered as a dedicated and honorable man. His legacy will live on by the lives he touched and memories he created. 

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 5 PM until Service time at 6:30 PM. Visitation will resume until 10 PM and on Friday morning from 8 AM until 9 AM. Interment will follow in Hook & Ladder Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
