Leon Robert Blondiau, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the age of 69. Beloved husband of Becky George Blondiau. Father of Wendy Blondiau Guidry (Chris), Kevin Blondiau (Sally), Greg Blondiau (Dana) and Mark Pons (Stacy). Father-in-law of Amy Blondiau. Son of the late Floris and Leon Blondiau, Sr. Son-in-law of Millie and Jimmy George. Brother of Andrew Wingfield (Judy), Alfred Blondiau (Fran), Eddie Blondiau (Betty), Beverly Ehlers (Wayne), Frederick Blondiau (Jeannine), Loretta Francese, and the late Paul Blondiau (Sonja). Brother-in-law of Don Ray George (Linda), Junius Duhon and the late Sandra Duhon and Alice George. Grandfather of Christy, Christopher, Ashlee, Cameron, Chase, Nathan, Hannah, Catherine, Ashton, Taylor and the late Britnee Lynn Blondiau. Great-grandfather of Savannah, Carlee, Elizabeth and Tucker. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Leon Blondiau was a loving husband, father, pawpaw, and friend to everyone. Family members called him "oscar the grouch" but if you know Leon, you would know that he was a man who loved to fish and hunt with his boys, watch TV with his grand babies and be the jokester in the room. His way of making a group of people laugh with his sense of humor was one of a kind. When he wasn't fishing you could find him on his sofa watching whatever was on the sports channel or game show network. He retired from Turner Industries/Occidental Chemical Corp. after 33 years of service and was a lifelong resident of Gretna, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 1pm. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning from 9am until 1pm. Donations may be made to Children's Hospital in memory of Britnee Lynn Blondiau.
