Lenroe (Len) William Owens passed away from natural causes on February 14, 2024, at his home in Harvey when he lost his battle with dementia and liver cancer. He was born on December 16, 1945, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to Tommye Yvonne (nee´ Lott) and Lenro LeAndrew Owens who preceded him in death. He was also predeceased by his brother Dale Lott Owens. He is survived by his wife Bettina (Tina) Spicer Owens, two sons Randall Trevor Owens and Jonas Walker Owens (Heather Matthews), and his three adoring granddaughters Ella Lauren Johnson, Lila Spicer Owens, and Ava Alice Owens. After attending Martin Behrman High School and one year at LSU, he married his high school sweetheart, Bettina Spicer, who would be his lifelong partner. He would go on to work in the oil and gas industry for over forty years. He owned and operated Ace Rental Tools Inc and later sold it to become part of the Superior Energy Services family. He was an avid fisherman and hunter loving the outdoors. He enjoyed nothing better than cooking for a group of people and relished reading a good book in his down time. He would often complete four to five books a week. Most will remember his smile that lit up a room, his infectious laughter, his kindness, generosity, and caring, and his good looks. He was a man’s man. The family suggests that if you would like to contribute in his honor, that it be to either the SPCA, Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans, or your favorite charity. A celebration of his life will be held March 16, 2024, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Rosedale Restaurant for family and friends. Family and friends may view and sign the online guestbook at www.mothefunerals.com.
