Laura Boudreaux Salazar entered eternal rest on Friday, July 31, 2026 at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late James L. Salazar. Daughter of the late Cleor and Sedonia Boudreaux. Loving mother of Diane L. Van Wagner (late William) and the late Trudy G. LeBlanc and Randy L. Salazar. Laura is survived by her beloved and loving grandchildren, Billy Barletto, Kristen Loyacano and Jeffery Loyacano as well as numerous Great and Great Great Grandchildren. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas, was a resident of Gretna, Louisiana for 50 years and McComb, Mississippi for the past 5 years. She worked for New Orleans Parish Schools as a bus driver for 25 years. She was a member of St. Cletus Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and she was a recipient of the St. Louis Medallion. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at St. Cletus Catholic Church, 3600 Claire Avenue, Gretna, Louisiana on Thursday, August 6, 2026, beginning at 10:30AM until 12PM. The rosary will be recited at 11:30AM with Mass immediately following at 12PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Avenue in Gretna, Louisiana.
