Laura Bonvillain Jacobsen, age 72, of Westwego, LA, entered eternal rest with her Lord and Savior peacefully on July 20, 2026. She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, George J. Jacobsen, Jr. Mother of Melanie Ferguson (John), Jaime Gannard (Joey) and Kelly Ramsak (Seth). Grandmother of Hannah Winkler (Jacob), Lindsey Ferguson (Bryce), Jocee Gannard, Seth Ramsak, Jr., Joseph D. (JD) Gannard, Jacob Ramsak and the late Joseph Alvin Gannard, Jr. Great Grandmother of Morgan Winkler. Daughter of the late John Peter Bonvillain and Winona Benoit Bonvillain. Daughter-in-law to the late George J. Jacobsen, Sr. and Rita Mae Jacobsen. Sister of Donna Cavallo and the late John Edward Bonvillain. Sister-in-law of Linda Rogers.

Laura was born in New Orleans and was a lifelong resident of the Westbank. She spent many years as a travel agent until she and her husband became proud owners of Jacobsen Specialty Services in Westwego, LA.

She loved God and her family with her whole heart. Her sweet demeanor and generosity preceded her leaving a lasting impression on those who knew and loved her.

Special thanks to Jane, Marianne and all the wonderful caregivers at Tranquil Living for going above and beyond in what you do. Also, thank you to Cheri and staff at Interim Healthcare for making her final days as comfortable as possible for her and her family.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held on Saturday, August 8th, 2026, at 10:00 am at River Church located at 2418 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA, 70058. Memorial Service to follow at 12:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) in Laura's memory.
