Laura Rotolo Breaux

Laura Rotolo Breaux, a native and resident of Harvey, LA, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at the age of 90 years. Laura passed away peacefully on Sunday, following a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Beloved wife of the late Wilbert Joseph Breaux for 60 years. Loving mother of the late Gweneth Breaux Romano (Saverio). Grandmother of Kelly R. Ziegel (Larry), Melanie R. Blackmon (Stephen), Corie R. Chatelain, and Brittany R. Schutt (Phillip). She was a proud great-grandmother of 10 grandchildren: Trevor, Ethan, Bailey, Eva, Lauren, Caden, Kora, Madalyn, Jessie, and Kane. Also, a great-great-grandmother of Sophia. Laura was born in Harvey, LA. on December 11, 1934 to late parents, Peter Rotolo and Arcelie Saurage Rotolo. She is preceded in death by brother Peter Rotolo Jr., brother Manuel Rotolo Sr., and sister Virginia Rotolo Toups. In the late 1960’s and early 1970’s she worked at Grant's, a store in Harvey, Louisiana. Also, later in life, for a short time, was a school bus driver for St Micheals Special School. Most of all, she will be missed for her cooking, especially her Gumbo. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Monday, November 17, 2025 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. The Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1:30 pm. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna, LA.
