Larry Paul LeBlanc

July 16, 1945 - September 3, 2026

Larry Paul LeBlanc, known to all as "Poppy", age 81 years young, a resident of Harvey, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 3, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Sheila Braswell LeBlanc for 60 years. Father of Jason (Dawn), Jamie and Jeremy (Melissa). Grandfather of Kelly (Megan), Travis (Kali), Taylor (J.C.), Cole (Kristen), Lexie (Tyler), Branson, Justin (Lauren) and Bailey. A proud great-grandfather of Noah, Karson, Evy, Parker, and Brixton. He leaves behind his beloved pet Roxie. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. 

Preceded in death by his beloved first-born son, Dewayne Joseph LeBlanc; his parents, Elman and Gertrude LeBlanc; his sister, Barbara LeBlanc; his in-laws, Eddie and Stella Braswell; and son-in-law, Wayne "Winkie" Foret, Jr. 

He worked in the oil and gas industry for most of his career. He was a proud member of the Jefferson Gun Club since 1986, where he made the best memories hunting with his wife, his boys, daughter and grandchildren. He spent many years trawling on Lake Pontchartrain  with his family. He loved being on his tractor, whether he was cutting grass or preparing food plots for hunting season, he would ride for hours. He was a great mentor to all who knew him. He was a father figure to many. He would never turn anyone away who needed help or advice. He was truly loved and will be deeply missed by all.

Relatives and friends  of the family are invited to attend a Celebration of his Life at Believer's Life Church, 501 Lapalco Boulevard, Gretna, Louisiana on Thursday, September 17, 2026 with visitation beginning at 10 AM. A Prayer Sermon will begin at 12 PM.
