Kevin “Bub” Michael Meyers, age 53, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday November 7, 2023.
A native of New Orleans and a lifelong resident of Gretna: Kevin was born on April 17, 1970.
Son of Lois Falati Meyers and the late Johnny Meyers. Kevin was a proud graduate of
DeLaSalle High School. He was employed at Meyers Warehouse where he played a key role in
operations and could be found there almost seven days a week. Kevin was a diehard LSU fan
and could always be seen in his LSU attire. He was the life of the party and always had a way of
making people laugh. Some of his favorite times were his trips to the casino, riding in
Choctaw/Thoth, the many nights throwing darts/ playing pool and watching anything LSU. He
had a giving heart and always the first person to step in when others needed help. He prided
himself on giving blood every 8 weeks and his monthly contributions to St. Jude. He is
preceded in death my his grandparents: Joseph Falati, Sr., Olga Falati, Josephine Meyers and
Milton Meyers. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving sister, Tracy Meyers Pipher
(George), niece Ashlyn Serpas (Lonny), great niece Sienna Serpas, nephew Peyton Pipher.
His loving girlfriend Charli Diaz, her daughter Jacqueline Hibbs (Latorreo). Honorary “pawpaw”
to Ashley Hibbs, Latorreo “ManMan” Slocum Jr., and Justin Slocum. Kevin loved and
appreciated the special relationship he had with his Aunt Clo and Uncle Patty Meyers along with
his work family.
Kevin's leaves behind a host of family and friends who will cherish the many memories they
shared with him. To know Kevin was to love Kevin.
Kevin was a member of the Terrytown Volunteer Fire Department.
Relatives, friends of the family, employees of Meyers Warehouse, Dominos Sugar,
Louisiana Department of Probation and Parole, and members of the Terrytown
Volunteer Fire Department are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana on Monday, November 13, 2023 from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11AM. Interment will be in Greenwood Mausoleum, New Orleans, Louisiana. Family and friends may offer condolences at mothefunerals.com.
