Kathryn (Kathy) Norton Ose, 63, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Justan P. Ose, Jr.; their son Robert (Bobby) Ose; her parents Robert and Mary Norton; and her sister Nancy Norton Donahue. Kathy was preceded in death by her sister Suzanne Norton Jeansonne. Her dedicated extended family includes Bonnie Lienemann (Ed), Melanie Ose Mincin (David), Laura Ose Hall, the late Pam Ose Mundil (Joe) and the late Justan P. Ose Sr..Kathy was loved and will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, her best friend Cindy Matthews and many dedicated lifelong friends.
Kathy was born in Ogden, Utah on January 6, 1963. She attended John Ehret High School ('81) where she met the love of her life, Justan. They were married in 1985 and she gave birth to their son, Bobby, in 1991. After her high school graduation, Kathy started her career in the medical field. Kathy first worked in transport at Jo Ellen Smith Hospital then moved on to work at AMR/Medic One as an EMT. She loved her job and the people she worked with became family. After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1992, she continued working for a few more years until she retired due to her increasing physical limitations.
Along with a deep love for her family, Kathy was a lover of all animals and cared for them like they were her children. Known for her quick wit and wicked sense of humor, Kathy was typically the center of attention at parties, making everyone around her laugh. Her bright, beautiful smile could light up any room. Through the years, Kathy's MS progressed steadily and took away her ability to walk and do simple tasks by herself. With her husband and son constantly by her side, she fought battles that many people never saw and she fought them with incredible strength. Even while suffering intense physical pain, she found ways to make others feel loved. She had a close relationship with God and leaned on Him constantly for strength. Kathy was beautiful, compassionate, brave and resilient and she will be sorely missed by all who love her.
In lieu of flowers please kindly consider contributions in memory of Kathryn Norton Ose to The National MS Society or your local animal shelter.
