Karen Bird Molaison

Karen Bird Molaison entered into eternal rest on February 23, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Raymond Molaison. Daughter of the late Robert Bird, Jr. and Earnestine Dominguez Bird. Sister of Robin Talamo (Terry) and Kim Schaefer (Mike). Aunt of Terrill Talamo (Shanna), Trey Talamo (Kristen), Shannon Chase (Chris), and Ashlyn Shaefer (John Breaux). Niece of Robert John Dominguez (JoAnn), Marina Ruiz, and Diane Baldwin. Dear friend of Nancy Talbot, Anne Daley, and Ann Penton. Also survived by a host of extended family and friends. Age 67 years, a native of New Orleans, and lifelong resident of Terrytown, LA.
Karen attended Christ the King Elementary School and graduated from Archbishop Blenk High School. She worked until retirement with South Central Bell and was recently employed with the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s office. Karen was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She selflessly cared for her husband and her parents in their final years. Everyone knew she adored her time with her nieces and nephews and spoiling their children. Karen found joy being around people. She was known for her bright and outgoing social personality and when she entered a room it seemed everyone knew her. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Memorial Service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Tuesday March 7, 2023 at 11 AM. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Memorial Visitation will be held from 10 AM until funeral time.
