We are saddened to inform that Julio Guichard passed away peacefully on October 18, 2023. He is best known for his extensive work for over 50 years, in radio, television, and talent promotion in New Orleans.

A few years later, he decided to move to New Orleans and arrived here in 1963. He is credited for spearheading KGLA Radio Mil in the early 70s and then WADU Radio Monumental in the early 90s. His weekly television show, "De Todo Un Poco," aired for 23 years, a show that he produced and hosted and retired from.

Many renowned entertainers, including Celia Cruz, Julio Iglesias, Alvaro Torres, Charytin, Luis Enrique and Chayanne, set foot on a New Orleans stage, thanks to Guichard's efforts to give the community quality entertainment while celebrating Hispanic heritage and culture.
