With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Judith (Judy) Muller, 78, of Harvey, Louisiana. Judy passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, surrounded by the family she cherished so deeply.
A native of New Orleans, Judy was the only child of the late Louis and Edna Louise Cassin. Her life’s greatest love story began in her teenage years when she met Carl (CJ) Muller. They were inseparable from the start and would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this coming June.
Throughout her life, Judy held numerous bookkeeping positions, where her sharp mind and attention to detail were well-regarded. However, her true calling and greatest love was always taking care of her family. She was the heart of her home, ensuring everyone was loved, supported, and well-fed.
Judy’s life was defined by an unshakable faith in God. Even in the most trying times, she served as a beacon of strength for her family, constantly reminding them that "God always has a plan." She was a passionate New Orleanian who loved the culture of her city and was a lifelong, devoted fan of the New Orleans Saints. Above all, Judy was a storyteller who found her greatest joy in the company of friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Edna Louise Cassin; her beloved son, Jay Muller; and her sister-in-law, Adeline Rotollo.
Judy’s legacy of love lives on through her devoted husband, Carl (CJ) Muller; her son, Michael (Stacey) Muller; and daughter-in-law, Dawn. She was the adored grandmother of her four granddaughters, Candace (Rebecca), Ryanne (Matthew), Brinley, and Curry, and the proud great-grandmother of River Sparrow. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, Carl Rotollo and Frank (Elaine) Muller; nieces and nephews, Roxanne (Trey) Crake, Christine (Michael) Marchese, Rachel (Kevin) Hollingshead and Frankie Muller; extended family members Cecelia and Darren; and a large, loving circle of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Mothe Funeral Home (2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA 70058). Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. A graveside burial will follow the Mass.
