Juanita Ann Miguez Naquin

Juanita Ann Miguez Naquin 91, of Metairie, Louisiana passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026, at Our Lady of Wisdom Community Care Center in New Orleans. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on March 4, 1935, to Noah & Eunice Miguez, Juanita was one of 10 children - 7 brothers and 2 sisters. In her youth, she enjoyed dancing, especially pointe and toe tapping. She had an incredible memory for the past and loved reminiscing about growing up in New Orleans. After marrying Howard Naquin, Sr. she worked hard as a homemaker and caring for their 5 children. She loved sewing, gardening, and preparing family meals, especially around the holidays. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Naquin, Sr., two children Craig and Michele, grandson Phillip, and all 9 siblings. Juanita is survived by son Howard Naquin, Jr. (Tammy) and daughters Laurie Jones (Charlie) and Donna Bradshaw (Aaron). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Andrew, Michael, Mark, Olivia, Charlie, Emily, and Harper and 2 great grandchildren: Kaylee and Eleanor. A Celebration of Life will take place on April 15, 2026 at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway in Harvey, LA. Visitation for immediate family at 9:00, with all other family and friends at 9:30. Mass to follow at 11:00 in the Mothe Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans.
