Juan Cecilio Gomez

Juan Cecilio Gomez, age 59, passed away on August 16, 2023. Father of Maegan Gomez Cubbage (Jared) and step-father of Jessica Edwards, Jamie Clement (Brocke), and Ashely Foret. Former husband of Kelly Foret Gomez. Grandfather of Dylan, Hunter, and Cohen Cubbage; step-grandfather of Blaise Digna, Layla Nolting, Destin Arabie, Ryelynn Denney, and Melanie Clement. Juan was born on February 24, 1964 to the late Cecilio Gomez and the late Margaret Skaggs Gomez. Brother of the late Russell “Rusty” McDonald, Sandra Asmar, Estella “Stella” Beech, Vivian “Tina” Cedeno, Patricia “Patty” McDonald, and Eva Mipro (Conrad). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and devoted friends. Juan was employed by Maritime Oil as a a tankermen and mechanic. He enjoyed working on vehicles and ATV’s and spending time with his family. He liked camping and riding four-wheelers. He enjoyed his time at the gun range and being outdoors. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 7PM at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, in Harvey. Visitation will begin at 3:30PM.
