Joyce LeBlanc Husson

Joyce LeBlanc Husson, born July 17, 1935, in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at the age of 91 at Bedford Care Center in Picayune, Mississippi. Joyce was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Charles A. Husson Jr.; her father, Joseph J. LeBlanc; her mother, Azalia Loup LeBlanc; and her brother, Joseph J. LeBlanc Jr., and his wife, Audrey, who also preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister, Donese Parchman (Larry); her children, Charles A. Husson III (Frances), Roxanne Flom (Michael), and Wade Husson; her grandchildren, Areka Gomez (Alonzo), Brandi Davidson (Christopher), Brittany Husson, and Kaylin Sullivan (Joshua); and her great-grandchildren, Peyton and Brianna Gomez, Autumn Davidson, Jaxon Cassaday, Blakely Moran, Alayna and Beau Talley, and Emilyn Sullivan. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will cherish her memory. Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved to cook, sew, and make crafts, always finding joy in creating things with her hands and sharing her talents with those around her. Joyce worked as a waitress for most of her life and took great pride in her work and the many people she met along the way. Throughout her career, she worked under Mr. Norman at the Log Cabin, as well as at Woolworth Diner, Stump's Diner, Rick's Cafe, and Shoney's. Her years of hard work and dedication were an important part of who she was. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all of the healthcare workers at Bedford Care Center of Picayune for the kindness, compassion, and loving care they provided to Joyce. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, Louisiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Following the Mass, Joyce will be laid to rest at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Avenue, Gretna, Louisiana. Joyce will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
