Josephine "Josie" Zito Gonzales

Josephine “Josie” Zito Gonzales, daughter of the late Santo Zito and Congetta Cali Lemoine peacefully entered into eternal rest on June 5, 2017 at the age of 88 at West Jefferson Medical Center. She was the mother of Charles Russell Rollo (Cathie) and Wayne Andrew Rollo; both of whom predeceased her. She is survived by her brother, Jack Zito; her sister, Sarah Breaux; her grandson, Wayne Anthony Rollo and his children, Brandi, Danielle and Lance Rollo and great great grandson, Carson Miller as well as nieces and nephews. A native of LaPlace, Louisiana, Josie spent much of her adult life in Port Sulphur, Louisiana where she owned and operated “Lady Be Lovely” Hair Salon. In 2002, she moved to Gretna to help care for her son, Wayne. Josie was kind to all and beloved by everyone fortunate enough to have known her. A special thank you to her friend for over 60 years, Jean Vincent for her love and care. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 10:30AM until 12 Noon. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 12 Noon. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
