Joseph A. Rosiere, Sr.

Joseph A. Rosiere, Sr. (Joey), entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, 12/24/2025. He was 71 years old and born on 10/11/1954 in New Orleans, LA. He was a graduate of West Jefferson High School, class of 1974. Joey leaves to cherish his memories to his wife Estrella, his son’s Joey Jr. (Erin) and Chad, his daughter Jamie (Chris) and 5 grandchildren: Katie and Haley Rosiere, Emma, Avery and Caleb Riviere.

Joey was a loving and devoted father and grandfather, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

Preceded in death by his parents, the late Francis G. Rosiere, Sr. and Lydia F. Rosiere. Joey was a beloved brother to Francis G. Rosiere, Jr. (Cindy) and was preceded in death by his other brother Michael J. Rosiere, and 2 late sisters, Linda R. Distefano (late Joe Distefano, Jr.) and Elaine R. Laviolette (Nathan, Sr.). He leaves behind a sister-in-law, Dana V. Capps (John) and 2 brother-in-laws, Milos Valenta, Jr. and Steve Valenta. He is also survived by an aunt, nieces, nephews and cousins and other relatives and friends.

Joey will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. Though he has departed this earthly life, his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, 12/31/2025, at 11:00am at Immaculate Conception Church 4401 Seventh St. Marrero, LA 70072. A private burial will follow. In lieu of flowers please donate to PMGawareness.org (polymicrogyria).
