Joseph Vaughn Edwards

Joseph “Vaughn” Edwards passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the age of 71.  Beloved husband of Deborah “Debbie” Edwards for 23 years.  Father of Jeff Edwards, Kelly Edwards Wyatt (Jon), Chris Edwards (Niki), Jessica Falati (Matt), Nicholas Carter (Nicole), Leigh-Ann Davis (Brandon), Sarah Carter (Michael) and the late James Robert Carter. Son of Ida Marcella Hardin Edwards and the late Joseph Vernon Edwards. Brother of Debbie Franklin, Tina Harris, Leslie Gillean, and Bobby Edwards. Also survived by 24 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by one grandchild and one great grandchild.  He graduated from Belle Chasse High School. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America having become an Eagle Scout. He was also a member of the Belle Chasse Jaycees. He was a sports fan, coached Little League baseball and bantum league football, liked to bowl, darts, golf, woodworking, fishing, and collected baseball cards. He retired from Brown and Root and worked for Calculated Controls.   He was a  native of Belle Chasse, LA and a resident of McRae, Arkansas.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Monday, May 15, 2023 at 1pm, Visitation will be held on Monday morning from 11am until 1pm.
