John Joseph Goodwyne Jr.

John Joseph Goodwyne, Jr. entered into eternal rest on February 13, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Lynn Lowe Goodwyne. Father of Christopher Goodwyne (Michelle) and Tracy Marlbrough (John). Grandfather of Alexander Goodwyne (Bae), Ashton Marlbrough (fiancé Brittney), Morgan Marlbrough, and Tiffany Mathews (Cameron). Great-grandfather of Bryce Marlbrough. Son of the late John Goodwyne, Sr. and Virgie Bourg Goodwyne. Brother of James Goodwyne (late Carolyn). Age 89 years, a native of Algiers, LA and resident of Bush, LA. John served in the United States Navy and served on the maiden voyage of the USS Forrestal. He worked until retirement for Louisiana Gas Service Co., now Atmos, as an executive. He was known as “CCA” - a cowboy, a carpenter, and an artist. He will be deeply missed by all. 

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 11 AM. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until mass time.
