John Patrick Blancaneaux

John Patrick Blancaneaux, was born on June 14, 1944, and entered into eternal rest at his home, surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at the age of 81. Mr. Blancaneaux was born in New Orleans but lived most of his life in Westwego.

John was the loving husband of Kathy Vanthof Blancaneaux and the proud father to Kyle Carson Blancaneaux and the late John Sherman Blancaneaux. He was the son of the late John Frank Blancaneaux and the late Ethelyn Camardelle Blancaneaux. He was the loving brother to Ronald F. Blancaneaux, Shelley Blancaneaux Price and the late Melissa Blancaneaux Arthur. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews

John worked for Omni Hotels then for the for the Archdiocese of New Orleans at Chateau de Notre Dame until his retirement. He enjoyed sports and was avid Saints, LSU & Yankees Fan. Most of all, he loved spending time with family.
