Joel A. Wieland

Joel A. Wieland passed away on December 4, 2016 at the age of 30 years. Beloved father of Davin Avery Wieland and Peyton Avery Wieland. Companion of Chantell Lacava. Son of Jamie Wieland Akers and Joel Avery Akers. Brother of Daniel Nicole Akers (Ashley), Laura Marie Akers (Anthony Abadie), Katelyn Elizabeth Akers, Patrick Michael Akers and Gabrielle Rene Akers. Uncle of Cameron Emile Akers and Mckenzie Leigh Abadie. Grandson of the late Margaret Ann Baillie, Edward and Dana Wieland. Also survived by many other loving family members and friends.
Joel attended Higgins High School. A devout Christian, he was a true family man and loved spending time with his boys and his family. He also enjoyed working out and had a true passion for fast cars. He will be sadly missed.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 11 AM to 3 PM. Services will follow in the funeral home chapel.
